Vanya is a passionate holistic practitioner: qualified soft tissue therapist, advanced sport and remedial massage therapist and a member of ISRM-Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage.
She offers therapeutic treatments to restore balance, relieve pain, and promote healing, in this way empowering clients to feel better.
She works primarily with people interested in managing their pain, chronic conditions, posture, wellbeing, or balancing. She has been practising holistic massage since 2004, with experience in a wide range of methods, techniques and energy linked modalities.
Soft Tissue Therapy is a combination of a range of techniques to treat and rehabilitate the soft tissue of the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and connective tissue. It can benefit injuries, pre/post operation recovery, joint issues, long term, and general health issues, as well as postural problems and muscle tension and imbalances. The techniques involved can be Relaxing/Swedish Massage, Reiki, Deep Tissue Massage, Soft tissue Release, Trigger point Therapy, Neuromuscular Technique, Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, Positional Release, Soft Tissue Release, Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage.
A session may range from performing a gentle, relaxed treatment to more advanced therapeutic soft tissue therapy to target painful areas, to simply holding a healing touch procedure.
Using a unique combination of all these modalities she creates a therapeutic treatment, infused with reiki, individualized, and designed to resolve related health issues, to restore the body’s natural processes by rebalancing. In this way, she provides effective pain, stress, and anxiety relief, whilst boosting wellness and long-term recovery.
A strong art background, together with an understanding and knowledge of anatomy and physiology allows her to address the pain and stress of the body in a holistic and insightful way, giving the client a bespoke and restorative experience. She is interested in mind, body and spirit connection and finding the balance of the energy flow in the body. Sessions are, in effect, two way, as effort and cooperative work in a sensitive and sympathetic way is involved to get to the root of the problem and to find ways to address it. She believes that understanding pain and condition is an important part of the recovery journey.
At the first consultation medical history, posture, range of movement, lifestyle, and relevant emotional and stress factors will be discussed. Sometimes the pain could be felt in a part of the body other than its actual source. General advice and specific recommendations are given to clients e.g. suggested remedial stretches/exercises etc. and support to facilitate self-help. A follow up appointment will be scheduled to monitor progress and build on the previous treatment, making adjustments and aiming to promote recovery.
Her clients all have one thing in common, a desire to feel better.
